City achieves accreditation for children’s programs

The city of Burlington has achieved Accredited Organization status with the Parks and Recreation Ontario HIGH FIVE quality assurance program. A staff team has worked hard over the last two years to ensure that the quality standards for children’s recreation programs have met or exceeded the criteria established by Parks and Recreation Ontario. The review process included a rigorous verification of policies, staff training, program quality and internal and external awareness of the city’s commitment to HIGH FIVE.

A special thanks to Maggie Henderson for her leadership on this project. Maggie was recently honoured by Parks and Recreation Ontario with a HIGH FIVE Champion Award.
